Xero fresh produce inventory traceability
Xero is an accounting system. Recalls and audits need lot-level records from receival to customer – which is what Producepak adds.

Key points
- Lots, batches and pallets live in Producepak; money lives in Xero.
- Recalls by supplier, lot, pallet, PO, invoice or date.
- Audit and mock recall reports in seconds.
- Farm records such as block and harvest date can be captured at receival.
The gap Xero leaves
Xero's inventory records quantities and values of items. It does not record which grower lot went into which batch, which pallets went to which customer, or expiry dates. Traceability audits and recalls need exactly that.
How Producepak fills it
Every receival creates a lot; every batch records its inputs; every dispatch records its pallets. Recalls and mock recalls run up and down the chain by any key, and the resulting sales and purchases post to Xero.

Traceability is no longer optional
Retailers require it, regulations such as FSMA 204 in the US require it, and a small recall without it can become a large one. Capturing traceability at critical control points limits recall size and reduces risk.
